Verification
To support our environmental claims and to avoid any “greenwashing”, we have recently submitted our environmental claims for an independent third party verification, performed by TerraVeritas Sustainability Validation Sciences Inc.
As a result, our Diamond Process Inks line was validated as containing less than 3.15% by weight VOCs and less than 15 parts per million of cadmium, mercury, chromium and lead (metals identified by Coalition of Northeastern Governors (CONEG) as a priority for reduction).
Our Diamond Process Inks series has four basic process colours (magenta, cyan, yellow and black). It is used for sheet-fed offset applications, and is comprised of approximately thirty to forty percent vegetable oil (with no petroleum solvents).
Our environmental claims have been made with regards to the requirements of:
- Federal Trade Commission’s “Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims”
- Industry Canada’s “Environmental claims: A guide for industry and advertisers”
